ASA is hosting an interactive & informative discussion, regarding the latest legislative developments, and the status of Right to Work AND the attempt to repeal Prevailing Wage in MO.

Speakers Senator Gina Walsh and ASA lobbyist Nancy Giddens, will explain the challenges in getting legislation passed; the process, the pitfalls, as well as current battles in the legislature, such as Right to Work and Prevailing Wage.

Is the proposed compromise enough to satisfy those seeking repeal of the Prevailing Wage?

Will Right to Work become the law of the land in Missouri, or will it be placed on the ballot, and overridden by the collective voice of the great people of Missouri?

Senator Gina Walsh was elected to the Missouri State Senate in 2012, pledging to honor the hard work, aspirations and faith of the people of North St. Louis County. In November 2016, Sen. Walsh was elected to a second Senate term and was chosen to serve as minority floor leader. Prior to her service in the Senate, Sen. Walsh served four terms in the Missouri House of Representatives, representing North St. Louis County’s 69th District. Sen. Walsh is a 1975 graduate of Rosary High School. Gina is a retired member of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers Local #1, with over 35 years of experience in the trade.  She has led the fight to stop the repeal of the prevailing wage statute.

Ms. Nancy Giddens is a lobbyist and principal of the Giddens Group. The Giddens Group focuses only on lobbying. Her associate Shannon Cooper is a former legislator. Together they are the lobbyist for the Construction Employers Coalition which is comprised of ASA, SITE, & PDF. Nancy was educated at the University of Missouri Columbia, and started her firm in 2007.
