LEARN ABOUT POTENTIAL NEW MISSOURI LAW RE:CONSEQUENCES OF EMPLOYING “UNAUTHORIZED ALIEN” WORKERS
This May the Missouri Legislature passed an important bipartisan bill that, if signed by the Governor, will make it illegal for a contractor (of any tier) to hire or employ “unauthorized alien” workers.
Key provisions of the new bill are:
Severe penalties.
Protects employers who report violations.
The Attorney General has the power to investigate; and
Requires cooperation with investigators, e.g., providing access to work sites.
