Yes on 7 on August 5th, 2014 primary ballot.More Information on Amendment 7:
What is the Temporary Sales Tax Ballot Initiative?- A measure to improve Missouri’s roads and bridges through a 3/4th of 1% increase in Missouri sales tax for the next 10 years.
- Money will only be spent on the improvement of roads, bridges, and other priority transportation projects in Missouri,
- 90% of the revenue will fund state priority transportation projects through MoDOT, 5% will be given to counties, and the remaining 5% will be given to cities for local transportation projects.
- All projects completed through MoDOT will be voted on by the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission and completion will be constitutionally guaranteed.

2014 Construction Showcase & BBQ “Hot” Event for Construction Industry
ASA Construction Showcase & BBQ @ Queeny Park-June 18, 2014
ASA welcomed over 100 exhibitor companies and well over 1000 attendees
to our annual Construction Showcase & BBQ on June 18, 2014. The temperature
was well above 90 degrees and the BBQ competition was red hot.
This year’s BBQ competition was judged by 10 local BBQ experts
and awards were given to the top 3 competitors.

ASA Midwest Council hosted 350 people, at the Four Seasons Hotel in Downtown St. Louis, for the annual event.
The four categories for awards were General Contractor of the Year, Outstanding MEP Subcontractor, Outstanding Specialty Subcontractor, and Service Provider/Supplier of the Year. There were also awards for the Industry Person of the Year, Owner of the Year, GC Field Employee and Office Employee of the Year. The ASA Midwest Council also awarded special safety awards to qualifying ASA members who have achieved work safety excellence in 2013.

The ASA Partners in Construction hosted over 80 people at a panel discussion on October 24, 2013. The event topic was “How to Manage the Construction Process” The panel, moderated by ASA Immediate Past President, Steve Giacin of Kaiser Electric, consisted of seven area general contractors and other construction industry experts.

ASA Midwest Council played host to over 80 companies at the St. Louis Construction Showcase & BBQ on June 19th at Queeny Park. The latest and greatest, new and innovative equipment, supplies, tools and services to the construction industry, were highlighted against a backdrop of BBQ and business development. Top prize in the BBQ competition was awarded to Airmasters Corporation (pictured above). 2nd prize was awarded to CeeKay Supply and 3rd prize to Beckerle Consultants.
